2. Casio G-Shock GBD-800UC-3ER Bluetooth Enabled
Not far off in terms of size and budget is this next entry, the G-Shock GBD-800UC-3ER. However, the watch does have an advantage over the GA-2110SU in that it is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and step tracker sensor. But, it isn’t your all-singing all-dancing smartwatch. The key here is to offer basic fitness data and it does so beautifully without compromising on battery life. We are talking approximately 3 years before needing to replace the battery. It feeds the G-Shock app with fitness log and you can even summon the step count on screen. But for more information, it will have to be on the app. We love the modern white LED backlight that offers high visibility when activated day or night. We appreciate that at this price point, you won’t get GPS sensor but it doesn’t even track using GPS signal on the smartphone.

Not much bigger than the GBD-800UC above, this GA-2000 model comes with the same carbon core guard structure strengthen case and body as the GA-2110 above. The digital and analogue watch from the GA-2000 series does offers a more modern take on the G-shock watch.
Apart from the four prominent screws on the round bezel, you can symmetrical buttons and 3D index with high contrast analog hands. The LCD sub displays are smaller and doesn’t take over the aesthetics of the watch. Turn it over and you get side levers on the bands allowing you to easily swap out the strap without special tools. I am looking at more modern fabric and velcro bands for this one. At only 14.1mm thin, the case is even thinner than the GA-100 that measures 16.9mm.
Standard features include shock resistance, 200-meter water resistance, world time, 1/100 second stopwatch (24 hour total with split), countdown timer (24 hours), 5 alarms, hourly time signal, dual Super Illuminator LED lights, and estimated 3-year battery life.

The onboard Bluetooth and accelerometer works in tandem to capture fitness data for the phone while it piggy backs on the phones GPS function to measure distance covered and mapping data. Other features that stand out includes the super illuminator that uses super bright white LED and approximately two years battery life.

From the Mudmaster series comes with G-Shock GGB100-1A3, a 55mm giant eye candy with carbon fibre case and green band. Bluetooth connectivity and onboard sensors like compass, altimeter/barometer, temperature reader and pedometer, it is also a capable smart watch alternative too. Use the Casio watch app and Mission Log to record altitude and route data on top of fitness information. Using the smartphone’s GPS sensor, the altitude points can be plotted on the map. That’s not all, it can even record your current location in an app, then shows this on the display using the second hand and the distance to the location on the LCD. We love the gold tone button at 3 o’clock and the huge connect button with red accent at 3o’clock.
6. Casio G-Shock GM-2100B-3AER
After all the big size watches with their case over 50mm big, here is a mid-size entry for the flexibility of being able to wear it outdoor as well as in the evening. Forged in stainless steel with rounded hairline finish, the strong bezel adds a sophisticated tone. Like the GA-2110S it has a unique octagonal form, diverging from the classic round design, and lends an air of sophistication to the durable resin band and stainless steel bezel.
It features the G-Shock standard of shock-resistance, along with 200-meter water resistance, providing unwavering reliability for those with active lifestyles. For precision timekeeping, the GM-2100B includes world time, countdown timers, multiple alarms, and a 1/100-second stopwatch. Its analog-digital display offers the best of both worlds, combining the classic look of an analog watch with the functional convenience of a digital one.
The watch also includes an LED light to ensure readability in dark conditions. The Casio G-Shock GM-2100B is more than just a timepiece, it’s a blend of durability, functionality, and a contemporary aesthetic that complements any style.
An all resin version, the GMA-S2100 is also available at a lower price featuring the same octagonal design but flat monochromatic colour. This particular one we picked is called Beige but we think it will pass for an urban styled tactical khaki green.
BONUS: Casio GG1000-1A5
Black Case but Khaki Green, the G-Shock Mudmaster series is as tactical as it gets when it comes to looks. With a case measuring 56.2mm in diameter, it is the biggest of all khaki green watches in our list. The unit is mud-resistant (obviously) and shock resistant (it has to be) with mineral glass and rock solid resin case. If the chunky bezels are not enough to wow you, three crowns and buttons on the right and a further two more buttons on the left ought to do it.
It doesn’t stop with the good looks, the onboard digital compass points to north using the hand and the thermometer gives you the temperature. This is on top of all the standard features you get on G-Shock watches. Push of one large button at the 3 o’clock position, you can check your position with its Compass. The temperature can also be measured easily by pushing the button at 4 o’clock.
