The Nixon Stainless Steel Chronograph is available in 9 different colour combinations, 7 of which are shown here. The 48-20 (48mm clock face is the more common men’s size from Nixon, while there is a bigger 51-30 chrono with leather band (51mm clock face) and smaller 44mm and 42mm chrono with leather band.

The stainless steel watch features textured chronograph subdials, unidirectional engraved bezel, and pushers and crown on reverse side of dial. The design is inspired by speed and torque measuring instruments, with heavy duty construction which is iconic of Nixon’s lineage. The fully loaded 6-hand chrono has a concave dial ring, rotational bezel, printed seconds track and date window located on the 6 o’clock position.

Subdials are used to track minute (3 o’clock), seconds (12 o’clock) and 1/20th of a second (9 o’clock). The leather band is available in 7 colours with stainless steel buckle and screw pins that matches the case. It uses Miyota Japanese quartz 7 hand wide eye 1/20th second chronograph movement with date and 9 hour crown and pusher placement.

Finally, the Nixon 48-20 Chrono Leather is water resistant to 200 m (660 ft): In general, this is suitable for professional marine activity and serious surface water sports, but not scuba diving. The pushers and crown are positioned on the left side to prevent ‘wrist bite’ during active pursuits. This also makes it suitable for left hand use.
